Happy Monday everyone! Did you survive the brutal cold last week or are you lucky and live somewhere nice and warm? It was so cold here that I had to wear two pairs of pants, and 3 shirts on my run, along along with two pairs of socks, my Operating jacket, hat, mitts, and my buff. Brrrr!
We zig zagged about our neighbourhood on our run instead doing a big loop on the main streets so that the houses would certainly protect us from the wind.
It was so cold that my phone that I use as my GPS, shut down because it was too cold. I guess the folks at Apple never actually expected people to use the phone in such extreme cold because as soon as it shuts down it displays this picture:
Oh exactly how I wish it was warm not cold. That said, Leonardo has actually a message for all of us winter athletes:

10k morning run along with the o’dark thirty club
Friday – CX Works class at GoodLife Fitness
Saturday – 30 min ride on my indoor trainer + 15 min of kettlebells
Sunday – 20k run
Our weekend was crazy busy – My oldest daughter played in an away hockey tournament. She had two games on Friday, and two a lot more on Saturday. My middle daughter had a method Saturday morning, and a game on Sunday. I barely managed to fit in my 30 min ride on Saturday in between all the hockey. Then the weather cooperated along with my sort of on Sunday – the weather warmed up enough to turn all of the snow in to slushy puddles.
Though the view from the bridge at the halfway point of my 20k run was beautiful!
Here’s this week’s physical exercise plan:
Monday – Swim laps prior to work, Lunch time weights at GoodLife Fitness
Tuesday – 10k morning run along with the o’dark thirty club (last one because of hubby’s job schedule)

This weeks meal plan:
Half of this week will certainly be spent solo parenting so I’ll have actually to move a lot more of my exercises to after the children go to bed, or on my lunch breaks at work. I don’t have actually a treadmill so I’ll be forced to finally get hold of some a lot more cycling in.
